Places to stay
There are plenty of options to stay around Ōhiwa Harbour. At Ōhope, Ōhiwa and in between choose from apartments and holidays homes, backpackers, B&Bs, holiday parks and motels.
There are two camping grounds in the Ōhiwa Harbour area, one at Port Ōhope and one at Ōhiwa.
Freedom camping
Freedom camping is generally not permitted around the Ōhiwa Harbour.
The exception to this rule is at the Port Ōhope Boat Ramp opposite the golf course. Vehicles displaying a current self-containment certificate may stay in a designated camping area for up to two consecutive nights.
